In a recent announcement today, Robert Bowling announced that he will no longer be working for Activision. The man once known to be the face of the Modern Warfare series, announced over twitter today,
Today, I resign from my position as Creative Strategist of Call of Duty, as a lead of Infinity Ward, and as an employee of Activision.
Further, I have replied directly saying,

Also, an email has been dispatched to Activision directly asking their opinion on the matter. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.The reasons as to why he left have not been made immediately clear, but we’ll be sure to keep an open ear and a clicked eye for further information.
