The new PS4 System Update is bringing something everyone has been asking for, for a long time. Update 4.50 will finally allow users to install an external HDD to their PS4 and no longer need to worry about having to manually replace the internal HDD. Sony has resisted doing this for quite some time, but finally gave the people what they wanted. According to Sony, installation is as simple as plugging a USB 3.0 HDD into your PS4, and the system supports up to 8 TB of storage.

Other updates and changes included in this system update include

Custom Wallpapers ( set your favorite in-game screenshot as the background image for PS4’s home screen)

Quick Menu Refresh

Simplified Notification List

3D Blu-rays on PlayStation VR
