Wave Race was a beloved Nintendo franchise from the 90’s and early 2000’s that sadly has not seen a new entry since Wave Race” Blue Storm for the GameCube. It has seemed for a while that the series would stay dead, but now it seems things might be changing. Nintendo has filed a new trademark for “Wave Race” in Europe, indicating the series may be returning at some point in the future.
If true, this is a good sign that Nintendo will be bringing some of their classic IPs for the Nintendo Switch, Hopefully this is a success and we will see more classics returning. Nintendo is bringing its A game it seems with the Switch and here is hoping Nintendo only sees good results.
