In case you missed it, a viral website popped up called NoHopeLeft.com teasing at a Resident Evil announcement today. Well Capcom has come through by releasing the  full trailer and release date to Resident Evil 6. As well as a synopses. “It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President’s side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bio terrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world’s population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.”

Being a long time fan of the Resident Evil series, this trailer makes me excited. It looks like it’s combing everything that was great about the series pre-Resident Evil 4 with the fast paced action of post-Resident Evil 4. Bringing back actual zombies was a great first move, the second was keeping the game eerie and still present enough action to keep you on edge. However, with three separate stories going on at once, one being Leon’s, the other being Chris, and the third being a new guy with a girl who sounds an awful lot like Ashley from Resident Evil 4, I hope that story doesn’t stretch too widely and is able to make each story entertaining and captivating.  Only time will tell if this is the game we all want it to be. Resident Evil 6 is set to be released on November 20, 2012 on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
