No GravatarSNK and Atlus have revealed the next DLC character for King of Fighters XIV. Vanessa, the beautiful brawler, makes her return to the fight.

Vanessa was a fan requested character, so it is great to see her return to the fight. Now all that is left is the last character. Who could it be?

There have been several reports of Switch users having experienced issues with Joy-Con connectivity, most notably with the left Joy Con. The issues have even made some send their systems  in to Nintendo for a fix.

As it turns out the process of fixing it is actually rather simple. CNET Australia sent in its left Joy-Con, and received it back about a week later.  What did the fix entail? Nintendo apparently just added a black square of foam in the lower-right corner, and this simple fix actually managed to solve the issue.

There is speculation that this piece of foam sits directly on top of the Joy-Con’s antenna traces, suggesting that it protects the antenna from interference. If it is removed, then the issues will resume. As well, CNET has suggested that this is a piece of conductive foam, which isa foam that’s been specially treated with nickel, copper or both so it can shield electronics from RF interference.

In addition to this, CNET has also noted that new Joy Cons are being sent out to retailers, with the problem fixed. Nintendo is clearly on top of things when it comes to fixing problems.

We knew it was coming thanks to Nintendo of Europe showing it in an image, but now it has been made official. Bloodstained: ROTN will be coming to the Switch, while the Wii U version has been cancelled.

A kickstarter update was put out where Iga stated that “the situation has drastically changed after the release of Nintendo Switch.” While it had made sense to include Wii U during the campaign that is no longer the case due to Nintendo shifting their focus to the Switch,

It continues

“This change made it difficult to receive the necessary support from the hardware maker, which has led us to drop the Wii U development and shift the development to Nintendo Switch,”

If you supported Bloodstained on Kickstarter , there is an option change their backer survey platform from Wii U to Switch or any other version, or other versions to Switch. I already changed my platform of choice on the backer survey, from PS4 to Switch. The option is there already.

No GravatarWell here is some exciting news. As noted previously, the twitter account for the Mana series posted a video of  Seiken Densetsu 3 being played on Switcj, and now we know why.

In addition to the base games, there are a number of additions Seiken Densetsu 2 and Seiken Densetsu 3 will support multiplayer with up to three players like in the original games, something that was not done not with any re-releases since. The games will also now include quick-save, which will allow you to save anywhere during gameplay.

There is also a Music Mode, which will let you listen to the music of each game from the home screen. Secret of Mana had a legendary soundtrack, so thi is welcome.. Pokemon may see a new life on Switch if job postings are any indication.

Recruitment ads have revealed that Game Freak is recruiting for a new development project. They are looking for 3D CG designers with experience on Wii U and PS Vita level character models using animation and modeling software Maya.

In addition Game Freak is looking for someone who can consult with the programmers and work on assisting with data. There is alsos is a line that is included in the recruitment ad that stands out.

“Here’s a chance to work on the development of a globally popular RPG!”

Another ad had the following mentioned on it.

We’ll have you work on the production an RPG game that is popular on a global scale.

Platform will be console.

It’s a title that just about anyone knows, a proposal that could be your future career.

This work will require using material to create cartoon-like super deformed characters, monsters, and item models.  As will, it will also involve work on debugging, data work, and more. According to the contracts, these positions will be until May 2018.

That wording makes this sound like a Pokémon game for the Switch. A Pokemon game was rumored for Switch as Pokemon Stars, a third version of Sun and Moon. That said, this sounds more like a new experience built from the ground up natively, rather than just a 3rd version of an already existing game.

Hopefully we will get answers soon.

Eric Bright, GameStop senior director of merchandising, spoke with Game Rant recently and had some very nice things to say about the Nintendo Switch,

He began by stating that the Nintendo Switch is off to an amazing start, and he even feels it is at the point where the Switch sales could possibly eclipse the Wii. There were no hard numbers given, but he reiterated that the Switch has one of the highest attach rates of software and accessories to a device that GameStop has seen ever.

He elaborated by saying that there is a large demand for power chargers and Joy-Cons, as people want to turn the Switch into a 4 player device. As such, there are plans on having more bundles to meet demand, including a Zelda bundle, as Zelda is the top seller and the most popular game on the system so far.

GameStop has full confidence in Nintendo and believes the Switch will be a game changer for the industry. That is a good news to hear.

In a recent interview with Gaming Trends, Douglas Bogart of Limited Run Games was asked about the Switch. More specifically, he was asked when and if we can expect to see Limited Run Games bring physical versions of digital games to the Switch.

Bogart responded by saying that LRG is currently working on getting onto the Switch. He noted that they have tentative plans to have their first game released this Summer on the Switch

What is noteworthy, is that the interview was about the game Battle Princess Madelyn. However, Limited Run Games did not say if that was the game they would publishing physically.

Here is some great news for fans of Splatoon and fans of comics. As part of the 40th anniversary celebration of CoroCoro, there will be a Splatoon full color comic book featured in  an issue due out April 15th,
But that is not all. There will be a Splatoon comic series appearing monthly, starting in the June issue. This is likely to coincide with Splatoon 2, as it will be a great bit of promotion for the game. Hopefully we can get these comics in the west as well, perhaps by Dark Horse, who seem to have a working relationship with Nintendo.
