After all the rumors and speculation of this title being released before the release of The Last Guardian for the PS3 next year, Team ICO has announced at this years Tokyo Games Show, that Ico and Shadow of the Colossus will be remastered and re-released. In North America and Europe the games will be part of a Team ICO collection (a la God of War Collection and the soon to be released Sly Collection). No word on a Japanese release date, but Fumito Ueda did say that both games will support 3D and will be in HD. The Japanese will get these before the release of The Last Guardian which launches holiday season 2011.

I’ll be buying this collection for sure! I’ve heard only great things about the two games, but I never did buy them when they were out for the PS2.
