Back in January, during the Nintendo Switch Presentation, Nintendo Tatsumi Kimishima announced the price and release date of the Nintendo Switch console. A couple of minutes later he talked about region locking, and how Nintendo Switch will be region free.
Now, this author jumped for joy when this was announced. Now import games can be purchased with no hassles just like Sony did with PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Now you can add My Nintendo accounts from ANY Region and if you are in the US, you can tie your debit/credit card to your accounts and buy games and download demos worldwide. You can have up to 8 Users on the Nintendo Switch. Here is where you can add all of your worldwide accounts. (if you do that sort of thing) You can also browse and download from each region with ease. This is one of the most exciting features of the console.
