Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures was a hit on PC and eventually came to Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. However, there was no word about the sequel AVGN II: ASSimilation coming to consoles, which led to me contact ScrewAttack Games for any information.

In response, Austin Harper of ScrewAttack told me the following

“Unfortunately, the response to AVGNII: ASSimilation on PC did not lead us to believe that porting the game to home consoles would be a proper use of our resources. ScrewAttack Games has actually stepped down as a publisher and are supporting Rooster Teeth Games as they begin to develop their third-party publishing branch, starting with the launch of their new game Battlesloths 2025: The Great Pizza Wars.”

This is unfortunate as AVGN II was amazing on Steam. Many were hoping it would come to the Switch, but that is not to be. It is further upsetting that ScrewAttack Games is stepping down as a publisher, but at the same time, it is good to hear that they will be working with Rooster Teeth Games on their third-party publishing branch. Hopefully they will bring us many great games in the future.
