Two days of Rockstar Games teasing with just an image posted each day, fans knew they had something to do with the Red Dead franchise, the publisher finally has officially announced Red Dead Redemption 2.

The first image was the company’s logo in front of a red background, and the second image had silhouettes of seven cowboys holding rifles and pistols off in the distance in front of a setting sun. These images has cause social media and forums to buzz with anticipation that an announcement was incoming soon. There were even spoofs from other video game franchises posted yesterday, showing the anticipation that the images were causing.

“An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.”

The game is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2017 on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. We will get our first look on this coming Thursday, October 20 at 11am EST as they release the Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer on Rockstar Games Youtube and Twitch pages.
