Fallout: New Vegas is considered perhaps the best of the Fallout game series. The rpg from Obsidian merged the gameplay of the first two entries with that of the 3D first person perspective gameplay of Fallout 3, to much acclaim. Fans have wanted a sequel for years, but nothing was announced from IP holder Bethesda Softworks or Obsidian themselves. Naturally many were upset, due to some having dissatisfaction with Fallout 3 and 4 and some fans simply enjoying New Vegas more due to its difference from Bethesda’s entries. However there is news now that may give fans some joy, but it is still a ways off.

Some fans have taken it upon themselves to create a new Fallout New Vegas experience within Fallout 4. This is similar to The Elder Scrolls Renewal Project that aims to bring Morrowind and Oblivion to Skyrim’s engine as Skywind and Skyblivion. The project is currently titled Fallout 4: New Vegas and a trailer was released.

The project will take some time, which should not be a surprise as Skywind and Skyblivion have been years in the works. Still, this is great news for fans of Fallout New Vegas until we get a true, proper sequel.
