The Nintendo Switch has sold extremely well in Japan over the last few weeks and that has led to some surprising results. FIFA 18 on Switch has received a major upswing in terms of sales. According to figures from Dengeki Online, FIFA 18 sold 16,006 copies on Switch in Japan last week, whereas it was typically selling between 2,000 and 6,000 per week before last week.
Also worth noting is that the PS4 version of FIFA 18 has sold 77,892 copies in total for Japan, with the Switch version currently at 63,379 copies. Considering that the PS4 version has disappeared off Dengeki’s charts, meaning the game’s sales have dropped below what they track, the Switch version could overtake PS4.
