John Cena, WWE wrestler who has since turned to acting, is in talks to star in a big screen adaptation of the video game series Duke Nukem.  This is being developed at Paramount and will be produced by Platinum Dunes, the company run by Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller.

This is being designed as a vehicle for Cena, but no director is attached just yet.

The Duke Nukem series is known for its irreverent tone and politically incorrect nature. Combined with the production work of Platinum Dunes, it doesn’t seem that out of place. Cena will not be the first WWE wrestler attached to an adaptation of a first person shooter game, as Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock, starred in the adaptation of Doom. Johnson notably had a series of matches with Cena in the last few years, that attracted much attention.

Is Cena the right choice for Duke? Let us know what you think!
