Liam Robertson, a well known contributor to Unseen64 has released a video where he revealed Skylanders 2017 is cancelled according to multiple sources as well as the fact that the series future is in doubt. This is due to a combination of low sales of the recent games in successive numbers, as well as spinoff material such as the show drawing less viewers than expected, and toy sales slowing down immensely. This could mark the beginning of the end for the Toys to Life genre, following the ending of Disney Infinity and amiibo sales slowing down.
