Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a hit for Nintendo and hit like they haven’t had in years.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is Nintendo Switch’s first #1 game in the UK, and the first Nintendo boxed game to get to No.1 since 2011 with Pokemnon White. It is also the first Mario game to reach #1 since Mario Kart Wii.
Nintendo also saw other increases this week UK, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild returning to the top 5, with a 68% increase in sales week-on-week. This was due to shipping more Switch stock to retailers.
