Late yesterday evening, Konami sent out a tweet producing a link unveiling the release date for Metal Gear Survive. The survival action title, will be available in North America on February 20, 2018 while Europe will have to wait a couple more days, February 22, 2018.

Metal Gear Survive takes place shortly after Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Players are pulled into an alternate world with

hostile environments and biological threats by wormholes. While battling everything around them, they must still make time to explore and forage to service.

The game will have both a single player campaign and a co-op up to four players. While the single player will focus on character progresson and resource management, in the co-op as players work and fighting as a team will result in being rewarded with loot which will aid back in the single player mood.

Pre-ordering the physical or digital version of Metal Gear Survive will receive a Survival Bonus Pack. The pack consists of:

  • Four gold-plated weapons: bat, sledgehammer, survival machete and survival spear.
  • Four metallic survival scarves: Green, Blue, Pink and Silver
  • Two Gestures: Thumbs Up and Happy
  • Mother Base Nameplate
  • Boxman [The Orange] accessory
  • Kabuki face paint

Metal Gear Survive is in development for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and the PC.
