Sony has made a few announcements for the PS Vita. The Vita will be getting a new memory card in the size of 64GB. This will launch on October 10th for 9,980 yen (about $100), It has only been confirmed for Japan, no word for other territories.

Sony also announced a new model for the Vita. “A more casual and easier model to use,” the model is thinner, lighter, and comes in a variety of colors. The console will be 20% thinner, 15% lighter, and will have a 5” LCD display instead of an OLED screen. The battery life was also increased by an hour. The new model is also coming out on October 10 for 18,980 Yen (around $190) and has yet to be announced for other territories.
