Ojiro Fumoto, the crerator of Downwell, a rougelike vertical scroller, has been hired by Nintendo. The developer announced the news on Twitter.
Downwell, was very well received, and cited as an example of ingenuity in indie games.
This is another sign of Nintendo’s embrace of the indie community. It will be interesting to see what they do next.
