Alan Stone was a cofounder of Nintendo of America, in the 1980s’s. He helped Nintendo  games into North American arcades and into our homes. Sadly he passed away this past week after a long battle with cancer. He was 71 years old.

Given that the Nintendo Switch is soon to launch, and how America played a pivotal role in Nintendo’s success in the video game industry, it is likely that without Mr. Stone we would not have the modern Nintendo. He helped shape our childhoods and for that I salute him.
