Nintendo of Canada sent out the following
It’s official: Nintendo Switch has become the fastest-selling home video game system ever in Canada, according to new information provided by NPD. These record-breaking sales are the strongest for the first 10 months of any video game system in Canadian history. The record was previously held by Nintendo’s own Wii system.
“The response that the Nintendo Switch has received from Canadians has been nothing short of spectacular,” said Pierre-Paul Trepanier, Nintendo of Canada’s General Manager and Senior Director. “We’re thrilled to have seen such record-breaking momentum in 2017.”
The game-changing hardware is complemented by a robust and diverse game library. The list will only continue to grow in 2018 with Nintendo-published games like Kirby Star Allies, Mario Tennis Aces, Bayonetta 1&2 and a new game starring Yoshi. Plus, fans can also expect continued support from major publishers, as well as a growing catalogue of quality content from indie developers.
