Recently, Reggie Fils-Aime spoke with NY Time reporter Nick Wingfield, a reporter from the NY Times. Some very interesting things were discussed therein that point to  a good future for the Switch.

For starters, Switch beat out the first two-day sales in the Americas for an previous system in Nintendo’s history. This includes the Wii which had sold over 600,000 units in the first eight days in the Americas.  While there were no specific figures for Switch sales given just yet for the American, we should get some details very soon.

What is good news for Zelda though, is that  the Switch version of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the best-selling launch title of any Nintendo console. The game has even surpassed Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64. No specific sales figures for Breath of the Wild sales were given, but again, we should get some soon.
