It is the end of an era for PlayStation, as the PS3 is ending production in Japan.
PlayStation 3 will be ending production in Japan, according to the official Japanese PlayStation website. The page for the 500 gigabyte model noted that production is coming to an end and shipments will end very soon.
We do not have a specific date for this but some stores are saying this will occur in March.
