We all know that the video game industry news has a habit of filling space with just as much rumor as it does actual facts. I personally have always tried to stay away from it as much as possible as I hate rumors and click-bait, so I promise you this is not a rumor.
Earlier today it seems that Playstation Korea accidentally posted that the Playstation 4 Slim would be announced and shown during their press event on September 8th. It was first revealed in a tweet by Daniel Ahmad, an analyst for Niko Partners China:
I think Sony just confirmed the PS4 Slim for Asia.

The post on the Korean Playstation site has since been taken down, which probably means it wasn’t suppose to be revealed so early. We may see it as early as tomorrow, as the US Division of Playstation is hosting their press event at the Playstation Theater in New York. We will be reporting an news coming out of the event.
