A series starring, Darth Vader, yes. A series with Vader doing badass things, yes! And hmm owning a room, well, not yet, but you know its coming. Star Wars: Darth Vader and The Ninth Assassin #2, continues after Vader wrongs a powerful Industrialist, by killing his son, and thus the Industrialist wants the second most powerful man in the Universe dead, Darth Vader. The industrialist hires a crack assassin to take Vader’s head. I’ll admit now, I didn’t read the first, but I love the pacing that the series has, and allows for a quick read, and an expansion on Vader’s character as whole, outside what the movies show.

You follow Vader as he begins to track down a not so dead cult of extremists, bent on kill Emperor Palpatine, while he is hunted, unknowingly by an assassin. For when the story is set, few months after the fall of the Galactic Republic, and the formation of the 1st Galactic Empire. The Empire is still consolidating after the war. Admittedly, the story has moments of fun, and other moments of, What in the World? Everything within the confines of the story makes sense, and is believable for Vader to do. Barge in, choke somebody, get some answers and destroy half of a cantina, and still look badass. Star Wars: Darth Vader and The Ninth Assassin #2 is already on shelves, and is a monthly comic from Dark Horse.
