This is the Tales of Real Otaku Story of Adrian DJ “KillzOWN” Jones.
So What you got here, or should I say hurr, is a 6’4 250 some odd lbs, 19 year old from St. Louis Missouri. St. Louis is the home of Nelly and The St. Lunatics, Chingy and The Get It Boys, J-kwon, Ebony Eyes, Jibbs, The Track Boyz, The Trakstarz, and now Luey V, Shorty Tha Prince, Laudie on Tha Track, Shawtie 314, X.O, G-money and Remy Rodriguez, Nokeio and Lil Lace, and many other artists. At its core St. Louis is a huge sports and music town. Over the years we had some great gains and loses. The sports and music industry is not what it use to be but maybe things will get better.
I am a young man in the middle of the city trying to find my way. The son of one of the biggest funeral chapel owner in the area. My father wasn’t around and even though I know him now, the relationship is estranged. Residing with my mother allows me the opportunity to help my family as much as possible.
Life is really about have fun with what you do. Gaming has been a part of my life since I was 5 or 6 years old. My faith and gaming has been my escape from people hating on me and people trying to bring negativity to my life. Another of my life passions has been music. My interests are spending time with family,going to movies, blogging,traveling and my faith.
Fate dealt his its hand to me the day I walked in my living room of our inner city home and I saw my sister playing the Atart 2600. This was my first console experience. One day I was at the now debunked Kay Bee Toys where I saw the Sega Genesis kiosk and I was too small to play it. It was a sad day. Luckily my Cousin Akoni from New Jersey had some systems and got me hooked even more. My family has influenced my Gaming choices over the years. My sister Keisha and my cousin Christina both introduced me the the Gameboy. My God brother Ernest introduced me to the PSone and my “uncle Al” R.I.P introduced me to the N64. Over the years I’ve had a Dreamcast, various iterations of Gameboy, Nintendo DS, a PSP, a PS1, 2 and 3, a GameCube and a Wii and I plan 2 pick up all the systems I don’t own now soon. For every minute I spend gaming, for a time it makes you forget your woes and troubles and with friends the fun doubles, so I feel like its time to let the world know who I really am.
I am Adrian DJ KILLZOWN JONES and I AM A GAMER. Anime has also been a big part of my life to, by the age of 8 or 9, I had seen the majority of old horror movies from the past and the recent present, and I got into Akria, Dragonball Z, Ghost in The Shell, Rurouni Kenshin, Outlaw Star, Big O and Cowboy bebop, Poke’mon, Yu-gi-oh!, Yu Yu Hakusho and now I’m going back to Fist of the North Star, Hellsing and other old anime. I am currently reading Yu-gi-oh! R which is a prequel to Yu-gi-oh! Millennium world. I will have my full review of that series soon on the site soon. I love how game studios are trying to incorprate cel shaded graphics to more western games to give them a Anime/Manga type feel to them, and if done well they really stand out. I will try to read more Manga and watch more Anime to get caught up on stuff I missed. So if anybody knows of a good series I should should watch or read then just hit me up
