Tekken 7 released earlier this year to much anticipation. The latest entry in the long running series received much success critically, now it seems they have also achieved commercial success with the game.

Japanese gaming site 4Gamer did their year end interviews with major figures in the Japanese gaming industry about the year in review and what is coming in 2018. Among those interviewed was Katsuhiro Harada of Bandai Namco, who gave an update on Tekken 7. Harada revealed that after only 2 months after launch the game had sold 2 million copies worldwide. However, now the number has risen to 3 million copies sold worldwide.

Harada then noted that Tekken 7 has seen  the most post launch support in the entire series, and he hopes to continue this throughout 2018. Considering the major post launch DLC so far for the game, this raises many possibilities.
