Good news for those of you who don’t have Xbox Live Gold. As a Valentine’s gift to those who don’t have a Gold subscription, Microsoft will be offering free Xbox Live Gold this weekend for 360 owners in the U.S. and Canada, starting at 12:01 am Friday night, or rather, Saturday morning. The free service will run until 11:59 pm Sunday night. For those who may not know, having the Xbox Live Gold subscription allows for use of their many apps and online play in most games. The free weekend of Gold only applies to the Xbox 360, not the Xbox One.

This also gives those without Xbox Live Gold to try out the free-to-play online game World of Tanks, which came out earlier this week on the 360. Only downside to it being for 360 consoles and not Xbox One is the fact that the beta for Titanfall also comes out this weekend. So for those who want to try out Titanfall will actually need a Xbox Live Gold subscription.

So for all of you out there, take advantage of this weekend and use all the Xbox Live Gold perks that you can before Sunday 11:59pm.
