With the Press Conferences that took place today, several pieces of information on the Wii U is now available. This would be the best place to get all of today’s news in one big Nintendo helping. Before we get into the meat of it all, I believe very strongly that we will see another Nintendo Direct for Wii U. The Press Conferences that took place today didn’t go into details about Mii Verse or their newly introduced Deluxe Digital Promotion program.

Wii U Price and Release Date

Wii U will be released November 18th for North America, November 30 for Europe and December 8 for Japan. There will be two different Wii U options to choose from, Basic (White) will cost $299.99 for NA, £250 EU and ¥25,000 JP, while Wii U Deluxe (Black) will cost $349.99 in NA, £300 (A third Deluxe Bundle is available, packaged with Zombie U for £330) and ¥31,500 JP (A third Deluxe Bundle is available, packaged with Monster Hunter for ¥38,850) . The 8GB Basic set includes a white console, matching white GamePad, AC adapters for both console and GamePad, Sensor Bar and an HDMI cable.  Meanwhile, the black 32GB Deluxe set includes Nintendo Land, stands for both the console and the GamePad, a GamePad charging cradle and everything else that normally comes in the Basic set. Purchasing the Deluxe set also includes membership to the Nintendo Network Premium program, which grants points for digital purchases made in Nintendo eShop. Valued at roughly 10% of the Nintendo eShop price, credit earned can be used against future purchases once a minimum of 500 points have been earned.

Nintendo TVii

Nintendo TVii which will allow users to watch movies, sports and television via the Wii U. This service will include social features, allowing users to connect to Twitter, Facebook and other social services.

It features a personalized program guide, which combines everything on your TV ,  such as Netflix and Hulu Plus, and your DVR. Users get their own profile, The TVii will also make program recommendations based on the profile.

With TVii you can see what your friends are watching, mark favorite shows and schedule a DVR recording. The sports section allows users to check scores, check highlights and, the best part, watch live games. Nintendo TVii will be available in both the United States and Canada. TVii will support all cable and dish carriers in the US and Canada. This will be a free service for all users.
