Nintendo sent out the following

For the next nine weeks, Canadian gamers will be invited to take on some of the biggest games for Nintendo Switch…in entirely new ways. Tomorrow, Nintendo of Canada will kick off the Nintendo Switch Challenge, a series of nine weekly Challenges linked to some of Nintendo’s newest games.

Every Friday for nine weeks, Nintendo will issue a unique Challenge to a Canadian Twitch streamer, tied to a specific Nintendo Switch game. The streamer will aim to complete that Challenge, live on their own Twitch channel – and then call on friends, foes and the wider public to take on the same Challenge.

A new Nintendo Switch Challenge will be revealed each Friday by the participating Twitch streamers, as well as on the Nintendo Switch Challenge homepage. The first Challenge kicks off tomorrow at 5pm EST, during which @Bananasaurus_Rex will attempt a Challenge from new synergetic action game ASTRAL CHAIN. And on Friday, October 18, @thedragonfeeney will take on her Super Mario Maker 2 Challenge live from the stage at Canada’s largest video game expo, EGLX.

Today, there are more than 2,000 games available for Nintendo Switch, ensuring that Nintendo Switch owners can play what they want, when they want, with a huge library of games for all types of players. Many of the games being featured in the challenges are new to Nintendo Switch this fall, including Blizzard’s mega-hit game Overwatch Legendary Edition (launching October 15), the spooktacular Luigi’s Mansion 3 (launching October 31) and the highly anticipated Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield (launching November 15).

Below is a sneak peek at games that will be played each week during the Nintendo Switch Challenge. The list includes games that suits everyone’s play style – everything from action-adventures, to side-scrolling platforms to tactical RPGs.
