The Outer Worlds has been delayed on Switch due to Virtuos being impacted by the coronavirus, so the team needs extra time to wrap up the port.
There is good news though, as the retail version of The Outer Worlds will now actually come on a cartridge, while it was originally planned to be offered as a download code.
Private Division said in a statement:
“We’re delaying The Outer Worlds on Nintendo Switch due to the coronavirus impacting the Virtuos team working on the port, to provide them enough time to finish development. We’ll now be releasing the physical version on cartridge. Once we have a new launch date, we’ll let you know!”
