Cyberpunk 2077 publisher CD Projekt S.A. has publicly addressed the recent lawsuit filed against the company and has stated they will “undertake vigorous action to defend itself against any such claims.”
CD Projekt acknowledges that the lawsuit is meant for the court to decide “whether the actions undertaken by the Company and members of its Management Board in connection with the release of Cyberpunk 2077 constituted a violation of federal laws, i.a. by misleading investors and, consequently, causing them to incur damages.” They also noted that the “complaint does not specify the quantity of damages sought” and reiterated that they will undertake vigorous action to defend themselves
For those unaware, the lawsuit from Rosen Law Firm claims that CD Projekt had “made false and/or misleading statements” as well as alleging that CD Projekt failed to disclose that “Cyberpunk 2077 was virtually unplayable on the current-generation Xbox or PlayStation systems due to an enormous number of bugs.”
A reminder that four law firms are planning class-action suits against CD Projekt. The fallout from the game has led Sony to pull the game from the PlayStation store for now.
