Konami has filed multiple video game related trademarks in Japan, including for Pitch Clash, as well as the Momotaro Dentetsu” series. What is notable is that this round of trademark filings also includes a new trademark for Jaseiken Necromancer.
For those unfamiliar, Jaseiken Necromancer is a Hudson Softy RPG released for the PC Engine in January 1988. There was a Virtual Console release of the game for the Wii in Japan in December 2006, which was, followed by a Wii U release in March 2017 in Japan. The game actually saw a western release in February 2018 in North America on the Wii U Virtual Console, albeit in a Japanese language-only release. The game also saw a release on PlayStation 3 and PSP in December 2009 in Japan, and a release on the Turbo Grafx 16 Mini/PC Engine Mini, still in Japanese only.
It is possible that Konami intends to re-release the game again, but it could be possible that they are reviving the RPG for modern systems as well.
