Tribute Games has revealed that Steel Assault, which was previously only announced for PC, is now coming to Switch as well and will be available on September 28. Steel Assault is a 16-bit retro-style action platformer, with detailed pixel art and with modulation-synthesized tunes. It is the debut title from developer Zenovia.

Steel Assault sees players take the role of resistance soldier Taro Takahashi on a revenge mission against a dictator who lords over the ashes. There is a zipline mechanic included that will act like a new twist on grappling-hook mechanics for movement possibilities. The game will have a few different difficulty options, including “retro hard” for the biggest challenge.
