XSEED Game has announcedCorpse Party (2021), an updated and expanded version of the cult classic Corpse Party is releasing on Oct. 20 release in North America for PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch PC via Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store. Corpse Party (2021) will be available at launch digitally for $19.99 on all platforms with a 10% launch week discount, with the discount on PS4 being exclusive to PlayStation Plus Members. In addition, the PC versions of the game will also be available bundled with the original Corpse Party by indie team GrisGris and there will be a 25% discount on the bundle. Owners of either the original Corpse Party or Corpse Party (2021) on Steam or GOG can purchase the other version of the game on the same platform with a 25% discount.
The haunted halls of Heavenly Host Elementary School are waiting for their next victim as Corpse Party (2021) has been updated for the next generation of horror fans while retaining its 16-bit charm. In addition to the five main story chapters that each contain multiple gruesome endings, this game features 16 “Extra Chapters” expanding the series’ lore, characters, and relationships, including two brand-new episodes introducing new characters with intriguing roles to play. The “Extra Chapters” included in this release will also be fully voiced in Japanese for the first time in the West.
