Fans of the Suikoden series have been very excited for the crowdfunded spiritual sequel Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, which was announced back in 2020. Rabbit & Bear Studios stated at the time that it was concerned over the Switch’s age and instead it was aiming for “Nintendo’s next generation console”. However, there has been an update.
In a new post on the game’s Kickstarter page, the developer shared something interesting in the FAQ section. Rabbit & Bear Studios has stated that they’re now looking into just how feasible a Switch version of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is.
While the release of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has not been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch, we are currently undergoing a technical investigation into development for a Switch version of the game.
If you purchase Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising for the Nintendo Switch, then you will be able to enjoy the crossover content in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on any Nintendo console version confirmed in the future.
Fans had been asking about a Switch release for Hundred Heroes, especially given that Rising is coming out on Nintendo’s current system and the prequel action RPG is meant to connect to Hundred Heroes as long as both are played on the same system. Even if the game does not come to Switch, it seems the connection will work on a future console as well.
