The Elder Scrolls Online has truly come into its own since its early days. When the game first launched, the reception was tepid to say the very least. Since that time, Bethesda and Zenimax Online have managed to make the game into a truly excellent experience and worthy of bearing the name of The Elder Scrolls.
Wolfhunter is the latest DLC for the MMO and sees you going through a new dungeon to take down the werewolf Vykosa. I was not quite sure what to expect with Wolfhunter, given that some of the other dlc for Elder Scrolls Online that are smaller in nature tend to all have a similar flaw that hampers my enjoyment of them.
That flaw I mentioned is that the difficulty in the new areas and challenges ends up suddenly ramping itself up high and without warning. I am pleased to say however, that this is not the case with Wolfhunter. While it is definitely a DLC that you will want to take on with others and not by yourself, there is no surprise difficulty spike this time. Instead, you will need to learn the enemies movements and patterns and coordinate in order to progress onward.
Wolfhunter’s new dungeon is extremely well designed and will have you constantly on your toes. It is not just one area, but will see you going through multiple environments as you progress in your quest to stop Vykosa from creating a werewolf paradise in Tamriel. I like that Zeniax Online did not take the easy route here, and instead crafted a surprisingly deep add on. It may not be a full expansion like Morrowind and Summerset, but the smaller DLC add on content packs have been a great thing for Elder Scrolls Online. The constant addition of content has made the game one that never feels stale.
Overall, Wolfhunter is a very worthy add on to Elder Scrolls Online and one that all players of the game will enjoy. I highly recommend this,
