This week marks the end of Operation Supply Drop’s month-long donation drive of building video game-filled packages for injured veterans at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The AbleGamers Charity announced the charitable donation of multiple customized controllers powered by Evil Controllers.
“As a service disabled veteran myself, I’m always thrilled when AbleGamers is presented with an opportunity to support our troops,” said Mark Barlet, President and Founder of the AbleGamers Charity. “These controllers are some of the best custom hardware available for gamers who need assistance using an Xbox. I’m honored we were able to participate in the day’s festivities and grateful to Operation Supply Drop for the chance to get disabled veteran gamers back into the game.”
“We’re big fans of the AbleGamers Charity,” said Stephen Machuga, Founder of Operation Supply Drop. “As Operation Supply Drop is transitioning from a wartime to a peacetime mission, working with injured soldiers recovering in military hospitals, teaming up with AbleGamers Charity makes a lot of sense in keeping smiles on soldiers’ faces through video gaming.”
“Gamers with disabilities are an important part of our community,” said Adam Coe, Founder of Evil Controllers. “We spend as much time as we can researching and developing new accessible controllers in conjunction with AbleGamers. Evil Controllers is proud to support our troops and the disability community at large.”
