SpeedRunners is a speedy Superhero runner game, a game that is all about speed and beating one’s times. SpeedRunners doesn’t have much of a story, but that’s okay. SpeedRunners is about speed and beating everyone to the goal. SpeedRunners is a time trial based game. It’s a game that is rather speedy and can take some time to get used too. Players can always review the tutorial, which should help. The tutorial goes through all of the basics so players can enjoy the game. Players will need to move fast while doing all they can to stop their opponents in their tracks.
This game is easy to learn but tricky to master. Players will not only have to learn the quickest route in every course but will also have to beat opponents to the goal. There are even items in the game that the characters can use to sabotage the others. The game has four difficulty modes, Easy, Normal, Hard, and Nightmare. So, get ready for things to get chaotic real quick if the player chooses Nightmare mode. The best way to practice is to play solo run mode. This mode allows players to run through the course and find the quickest route to victory. Players will want to practice on every stage until they find the best path. Once they do, it’s a good idea to practice against bots. Players can practice against bots of any level before testing their skills in other modes.
The most important mode in this game is versus mode. In versus, players can play either locally or online. Players can play locally with up to four friends to let the good times roll. It’s a fun game to play with friends as it can be a little bit more chaotic than other racing games. This game is brutal, so hopefully, the friendship can take it. Online mode is one of those modes that the player should pick when they are sure they are ready. Online can be brutal because people who are masters of the game lay in wait. They practice for hours and are there to take down anyone foolish enough to try.
While the story mode isn’t a long one, it is present. Players will race through sections taking on different characters. There are four story chapters with a lead hero and villain. The villain will then be playable in the other modes. It’s great to play this mode because a little story does go a long way. The first story is all about Speedrunner, the main character. This speedy hero has to face a new evil, who is willing to do anything to beat him in the race of life.Moonraker is a woman who is going to give Speedrunner and the other heroes a hard time; the player will have to use all the tricks in the book to take her down and save the day. Players can also unlock characters by paying for them. The characters themselves are pretty funny, and if the player enjoys the game, they might be worth picking up. Players can also buy different trails to show off their characters in style. While these things might be cosmetic, if the player is curious, they might be worth picking up. Out of all the characters, SkullDuggery and FortKnight are my favorites that players can buy.
SpeedRunners is a quick game that will take hours for players to master. Sometimes it’s nice to speed run a game but speed-running a level takes an awful less amount of work. SpeedRunners is a game worth picking up and playing with friends. It’s a chaotic party game at heart with a decent amount of solo content. If speeding heroes racing to victory sounds fun, pick it up and go fast.
