Disgraced former video game record holders Billy Mitchell and Todd Rogers are at it again. After their records were proven to be fake and in some cases impossible, the two have filed multiple lawsuits, against companies and individuals. Rogers has filed lawsuits against Twin Galaxies, Guinness World records and Jace Hall (owner of TG). Rogers has claimed Twin Galaxies has earned money off of articles on their website about him, which is odd since Twin Galaxies does not make a profit on their website. It should also be noted that Rogers misspelled his name as “Togers” on the filing.
In the meantime, Billy Mitchell has filed a lawsuit against current Pac-Man Champion David Race, who holds the record for fastest completion of the game. Race initially supported Mitchell during the allegations, but after months of testing the arcade games to prove the innocence, his investigation found Mitchell could not have done what he claimed. David race then agreed with the consensus that Mitchell’s records were fraudulent, but Mitchell still took Race’s early comments of support out of context.
Mitchell is suing Race, claiming he gave an illegal recording of a phone call between the two as evidence in court. This is despite the fact that Race lives in Ohio, a one party state, and recorded the law there and therefore no law was broken. Mitchell also has made a number of strange and demonstrably untrue comments about Race and his history in the Pac-Man community.
