Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition was released recently and the response has not been positive so far. In fact, many are claiming that the visual upgrades actually hurt the overall experience, while others are stating that this is a far inferior version compared to the original release and should be avoided.
Nightdive has responded in an unusual way, as it has released the original version of the game as an update for owners on Steam. This version is being dubbed Blade Runner Classic, and players will be offered a choice of whether to play the game in its original form or the new version when starting up the game.
There is no word yet on the console versions, but this is not a good omen for the game.
Our review of the game’s enhanced version on Switch will be up sometime soon.
