Mr.Blaster is a super small and super simple game. A game that doesn’t take much effort to learn. I appreciate simple games sometimes especially in this chaotic day and age. While not a perfect game it is a Worms clone and sometimes a little Worms action can be fun. Mr.Blaster isn’t revolutionary but it is a cheap simple game that someone lovingly crafted into existence.
Mr.Blaster is a small man on a moon. He is faced with danger at the hands of a weirdo opposite him. As the two planets rise and fall players will have to aim to hit their foe off the planet. Players can select the power of the throw and the angle to send their projectile towards the target. The match will go on until either time is up or one of the foes is victorious. This game is ultrabasic and only has two modes, vs computer and vs friend. This game can be played either way and is probably going to be just as fun. Though playing with a friend could be even better depending on how kind you are to each other. Maybe the players want to play dirty and razz each other for missing?
Players will collect gold stars which can be used to pick up different costumes. The costumes are the only thing the game has in the way of collectibles. There are a few to collect including the Joker, and Alien, and even Marilyn Monroe of all people. This is a small plus and I appreciate that they felt costumes were important.This game offers three types of music for the player to play along too. They can have happy, dynamic or futuristic music. None of these tunes is all that exciting but for a game like this that’s a good thing. The player might want to concentrate on aiming so a slapping soundtrack could do them wrong.
All in all Mr.Blaster is a simple Worms clone. It’s not overly expensive, packed with goodies, or overly complicated. It’s just a small game to play with a friend or a bot. A simple game about a man facing his foe. Mr.Blaster needs help in his duel, will the player aid him?
