Some time ago, Konami released a new take on Bomberman in the arcades, called Bombergirl. That title is now coming to PC and Konami has launched open beta testing for the PC version via the Konami Amusement Game Station service. For those interested, the open beta test will run from today until January 12 at 5:00 JST.

The Konami Amusement Game Station version of the game will act like an arcade game and costs five tickets per play, These can be purchased for 110 yen, and if you participate in the open beta test, you will receive 10 tickets (two plays) as a free starting gift.

Bombergirl for Konami Amusement Game Station will have the same game content as the original arcade version, however, it should be noted that matchmaking is limited to Konami Amusement Game Station players and there are differences in held events, gacha, and online battle maps than the arcade version. In addition, new characters, items, maps, and so on will also come to the arcade version before the Konami Amusement Game Station version. You will also need a Konami account and e-Amusement Pass to participate in the Bombergirl open beta test.

Also, the open beta isn’t region-locked, so you can play it outside Japan as long as you can read Japanese.
