Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley was a guest during a live stream by Limited Run Games where Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game Complete Edition was being played.
During the stream, Bryan Lee O’Malley was asked if he would be open to Scott Pilgrim appearing in other games. He noted that it is actually difficult due to Universal having some ownership stake now in the property. He noted that even making a new Scott Pilgrim comic would not be easy due to needing to deal with the studio.
When the topic of Smash was brought up, O’Malley stated.
“That’s the thing everyone always says, Scott for Smash. I would not say no”
Hopefully, Bryan Lee O’Malley gets the full rights back to his work someday.
