Ys VIII is launching on Switch next week and with the review embargo having lifted, some reviewers have noted that the translations and text seemed off. NIS America sent out an email today saying they are aware of the issue and it is being fixed.
The company stated that there there will be a day 1 patch to fix this issue as well as other technical problems. NIS America also noted this is one of three patches they have planned for the game on Switch and they are trying to get them done quickly.
The reviews of the game ( including our own) thus reflected the unpatched version.
