This September will see Cruis’n Blast come to Switch, the latest entry in the arcade racing game.
The Series started with Cruis’n USA, and was followed by Cruis’n World and Cruis’n Exotica, which all received ports to the N64. Given that many will no doubt be interested in the series roots, one would hope that the original games would be re-released again. And as luck would have it, this may end up happening down the line.
Series creator Eugene Jarvis revelaed in an interview with Nintendo Life that the team is considering the idea of remastering the original three arcade games:
We’ve been tossing around some ideas – one thing I’ve been tossing around is to remaster the classic arcade Cruis’n trilogy especially for the Switch, up-resing the content to full HD and solid 60Hz frame rate!
Perhaps such remasters could combine the Arcade games and the N64 versions, as the latter ports had some unique features.
