Of the many Simpsons video games, only a few still are considered good. One of these titles that fans still love is The Simpsons: Hit & Run, which was released for GameCube, PS2 and original Xbox and took heavy influence from Grand Theft Auto. Well, fans love that game so much that they have begun working on a fan remake of the game with a lot of impressive new features.
A video has been released showing the remake being developed by Reuben Ward and showing the remake’s newly-stitched-together open world, in addition to promising further additions in future including improvements to the game’s vehicles, the inclusion of online multiplayer, a quest system and revamped graphics. Ward previously had a version of the game on his patreon but pulled it for legal reasons. The new version states it is for entertainment purposes and will never be made available to download, but Ward does talk a lot about his own narrative quest and dialogue editor, which he is selling separately.
Future updates to the project will be posted to Ward’s YouTube channel, showcasing further work on the game.
