Pittsburgh, PA: Roy Butler, an avid gamer and Fallout 4 fan, is angry after he loaded over 1,000 mods to his Fallout 4 game and his game crashed. Bethesda has yet to comment.
“What’s the point of having mods if you don’t add all of them?” Butler complained. “I want my money back! I put hundreds of hours into my game and now nothing loads!”
Butler said that he has tweeted, Facebook messaged, and emailed Bethesda with no reply. When asked if he called customer support, he noted that no one calls anyone anymore, but if he could, he would send a sharply worded text message.
“Bethesda should just answer my tweets,” he explained. “That’s how customer service works now.”
Butler was asked whether or not Fallout 4 should be able to handle over 1,000 mods written by random people over the Internet, some which may clash with others, and whether or not Bethesda should support other people’s code.
“Of course, they should!” He said. “I can get to the mods from the main menu, so they should support it.”
Butler was also asked if he considered deleting some of the mods to get the game working again, and he noted that that was a dumb idea.
Real Otaku Gamer is awaiting comments from Bethesda.
