Hamster  has announced the next games for the Arcade Archives series during a live stream today.

Arcade Contra, Super Cobra, Super Dodge Ball, and Gradius II aka Vulcan Venture are all on the way.

No release dates were shared, but they should be rolling out in the weeks and months ahead.

 

 

 

‘CONTRA’ is an action game that was released by KONAMI in 1987. The strongest warrior ‘CONTRA’ Bill and Lance will challenge the destruction of the Earth invasion base of aliens, with their passion ‘Toukon’ (Fighting Spirit) and their inborn guerrilla tactics. In this work, the Japanese version and the overseas version of CONTRA are included.

 

 

‘SUPER COBRA’ is a shooting game released by KONAMI in 1981. The game is a prequel to SCRAMBLE which released later that year. The player controls a helicopter through tight caverns where they must use a laser and bomb to destroy defenders, tanks, and UFOs. Your helicopter is equipped with a limited fuel supply and you must destroy enemy fuel tanks in order to progress.

 

‘GRADIUS II’ is a shooting game released by KONAMI in 1988. Players will control the super dimension fighter ‘Vic Viper’ in order to protect planet Gradius from the Gofer special forces. This is the best title from the GRADIUS series and a title of fame in the shooting game history having won multiple awards! This product includes 3 Japanese versions, and the 2 oversea versions with ‘VULCAN VENTURE.’

 

‘Super Dodge Ball’ is an action game that was released by Technos Japan in 1987. Players compete with powerful teams of the world, to become a Super Dodge Ball team of the world. In Japan, it was the second game with starring Technos Japan’s video game character ‘Kunio-kun’, following ‘Nekketsu Koha Kunio-kun’ (the Japanese version of ‘Renegade’).
