HORI has announced a new attachment for its Switch Split Pad Pro accessory that will allow it to be used as a wired controller for TV mode, whereas up till now, the Split Pad Pro has only been compatible in handheld mode.
What is notable is that not only does the attachment work for Switch in TV mode, but it is also apparently compatible with PCs that are equipped with a headphone terminal as well. The device also has a mute and volume + / – button, though this cannot be used when connected to the PC.
HORI has confirmed that this add-on will work with all variants of the Split Pad Pro and is planned for release in December in Japan. Play-Asia is taking pre-orders here.
