The PS Vita is the little handheld that could, even when production has finished, indie developers continue to support it. Now we have I and Me, an interesting puzzle platformer featuring two cats that move in unison. This is a really chill but fun game.

In I and Me the objective is simple, you must move both cats through the level and put them in a wooden frame. It’s a simple ordeal, you just move accordingly to either left or right, jump over some simple obstacles, and you can reach the goal. It sounds really simple in the beginning, but as you progress further in the game, you need to take advantage of the obstacles on the level to make only one of the cats move, or to avoid jumping so the other cat doesn’t hit the spikes on the ceiling. These elements combine to provide a unique experience and I like how the game throws new elements at you, like enemies. These situations require strategic thinking in order to solve the puzzle, and in some levels there are letters to collect that give more information about the story itself. I also like that whenever you enter the next area, which represents the 4 seasons across more than 100 levels, there are some slight changes but the core gameplay is kept the same.

Graphically the game looks simple but that is not a bad thing, considering the objective the approach taken is good. The music is what I like the most about the game, a lot of soothing tunes to make this a game that I can come to unwind, and just forget about day-to-day stress. If that was the purpose of the game, I can say that it was fulfilled.

Bottom Line, I and Me is a puzzle platformer with some interesting gameplay. It is simple but fun and the music makes it a game to enjoy with a cup of coffee on a rainy day. I can recommend it to everyone looking for something different.
