If anyone has memories of their parents taking their games away, they will find this new KEMCO game to be quite fun. Mom Hid My Game is a rather simple game all about finding games the player’s parents have hidden away. As a child, I had to deal with finding my games were no where to be found from time to time. It can really put a damper on the day when what you have been looking forward to, is not accessible.

Mom Hid My Game can take the player back to a time where this happened. It is especially fun playing it now and realizing maybe you’d side with the parent. That is one of the downsides of growing up, what used to seem unfair is actually revealed to be fair. It is humorous growing up and seeing the world through different eyes.

Mom Hid My Game is truly a simple seek and find, but is rather interesting how it plays out. Every level is different, and the player will never be sure where they will find their prize. It is part of the charm to find out where mom hid your game, personally, it makes me feel childlike. I enjoy seeing where games are hidden even though honestly, they are always left in places where kids could die. Oddly enough this makes the game a little more endearing as it pulls it straight into the realm of insanity.

The art style is also nice and simple. The characters might not show a ton of emotion but it is clear what they are feeling. There is the young son, his mom, and often times a grandfather figure who appears randomly in weird places. It’s nice to see the family living life, and watching the mom pop up when the player messes up is also humorous.

Mom Hid My Game may be a short and sweet game, but it is definitely one worth playing. This game has 50 levels to play through all of them getting zanier as the game progresses. If anyone has ever wanted to play a game and someone has hidden it, pick it up and feel like a kid again.
